Cervelo P2 frame for track bike build?

I found a really cheap '08 Cervelo P2 frame and fork on ebay earlier. I was wondering if it could be built as a track bike, and if so what is needed? Need help fast!

P2 is a road bike right?

i would imagine that the geometry is off for track riding...like bottom bracket height

and the fact that it doesn't have track ends

Not actually going to be riding on the track just going to turn it into a fixie. What do you mean ends im new.

Zachee 07-15-09 01:57 PM

Please don't do that.

iansmash 07-15-09 02:01 PM

actually it does have track ends...it's a time trial frame

you COULD do it but I wouldn't

If you were to build it up properly w/ gears and stuff then I would recommend it but it isn't really the right frame for what you want to do

Yeah i was just looking for a light aero frame and found one, just not the right kind of frame i guess.

iansmash 07-15-09 02:03 PM

honestly a frame like that for street riding isn't really the best

Cy Trivialities 07-15-09 02:04 PM

if its cheap go for it, do whatever you want with it. it has short dropouts but it'll still work.

Yea but the track ends are much shorter than a real track bike.

200 for frame and fork!

Cy Trivialities 07-15-09 02:10 PM

dude, there is NO REASON whatsoever to not buy that frame and fork for 200$. What the hell is wrong with it? Even if you decide not to build it up, and have it sit in ur garage, buy it. Lol.

Apparently he needs to pay rent real bad.

PedallingATX 07-15-09 02:24 PM

I wouldn't post a deal like that here. Someone will snatch it up probably.

Dude, you do realize that's an auction and not the actual price of the frame, right? Most likely it will get a lot more expensive...

Cy Trivialities 07-15-09 02:26 PM

Lol damn the auctions not over yet? 18 hours left, you're not gettin that thing for under 200$

thor0215 07-15-09 02:31 PM

i'm gonna wait till like 10 mins before auctions over and then hopefully buy it for a reasonable price if it hasnt gone up to far yet

adriano 07-15-09 02:35 PM

huh?

adriano 07-15-09 03:16 PM

after the first auction or so, one typically realizes that ten minutes let alone ten hours is an eternity in the snipe fest that is ebay.
