Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Sputnik question.

I've searched the forum with no luck. Can anyone tell me if the cable guides on the top tube of the 09 Sputnik are removable? From the picture it looks like they might just be stuck on the frame rather than brazed on.

Thanks for your help.

Mine is an 07, so it doesn't have them. But according to this review (which was just published on RBR), they are removable. He makes reference that they are easy to snap off if you lean against the top tube.

Get the sputnik. It's a great bike
