Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Only 90 dollars? That's a bargain. Other people buy $300 wheelsets to disfigure their bikes.

Lovely sharp corners on that thing! Why don't they make a pointed stem cap to go with it? Hope no one ever gets in an accident with that stem on their bike. That sucker could be lethal.

I saw this on Prolly's site. That thing looks like a cinder block for your bars.

I love it from a graphic perspective, but in every other way I think it's pretty dumb. Especially for practical considerations, it's terrible.

Another reason I want to have a machine shop. Looks like it would be simple to build.

But what if I want my bike to look like something out of Transformers?
It would look great on this bike.

That'd be entirely the easiest stem to make, ever, out of a piece of billet aluminum.
