I'm a professional in film and video post production. I know about tripods. I was laying on my couch in the dark, listening to music, when I happened to look up, see the super blue sky, figured, ah, what the hell..my $90 1.whatever megapixel eBay steal might be able to pick this up if I use a super long exposure. And it did. Did I have the time or desire to setup my freakin' tripod? No. I did it all without leaving the couch. I thought it look'd kinda cool, so I shared it.
If you don't like blurry lines, tough shiznit.
