Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

West Lafayette Purdue Employee Crazy?

Yes. For those of you in the big WL. I was riding down the bike lane on Northwestern headed towards Chauncy and a Purdue Employee none the less,( brains? I think maybe crazy brains) turned right in front of me down the street adjacent to University Bookstore (NW) when I was obviously five feet from her. Luckily I have a FB on my fixed and slammed on it in case of situations such as these happen. So I turned in after her to roll out the brake or what not instead of continuing on my journey. Her window was cracked and I simply looked at her to find a mad glaring woman. So, I said " You should watch where you are going". She responded by saying "I was watching where i was going. No Cutting!". With an incredulous stare I responded "You're Crazy Lady" and rode away. Evidentally who gets to turn into a road first or who has the right away is more important than a biker's life. Odd. Yes? Yes.
