FIR EA10 rim 700C weight?
Anybody got imformation on these?
I'm considering to build myself a good rear wheel for the kilo TT with Campagnolo Atlanta, and would like to know what the weight differences would be like. The Atlanta is surely pretty bulky, but if the difference is within like 200g, I reckon off-the-line quickness wouldn't be hindered that much, and the aerodinamics would give me some sort of advantage twards the end?
My current training wheel is built with EA10, 36 spokes. Kilo time: 1'15, standing lap split time 26sec.

If you are worried about weight and still want an aero-ish rim, check out the Kinlin XR-300:
https://fairwheelbikes.com/kinlin-xr3...im-p-1216.html
455 grammes for a rim that is as deep as the Velocity Deep V and only 60 dollars!

Since I'll be using this wheel on the track I'd hope it to be stiff. Not sure about the Kinlin stuff, I mean never heard of anyone racing it. On the other hand the Atlanta '96 is totally dominant. I know that, because it's currently built to a no-brand road hub, using no-brand spokes, and 2:1 lacing to be a 24-spoke pattern... AND the lateral stiffness of this combination is better than my Corima Aero carbon hoop.
And those Corimas build absolutely excellent front wheels.

Good luck with the build. I hope you don't crash on the track as often as your handle does on the black stuff... ;-)

As the owner of Campy Atlanta rims the only reason to own them is for the name. They aren't deep enough to afford you an aero advantage. Even if they did provide an aero advantage the high spoke count would negate it.
Get a set of Formula hubs laced to Reflex tubulars, once you move up to the Bs then start looking at aero rims.

kinlin 30mm are rock solid. if you've never heard of them, you haven't done much homework. lots and lots of roadies on them...light (for the depth), cheap, strong. even available in silver i believe, but always w/machined brake track. also rebranded as irc cadence aero.

Or maybe I'll just stick with my 36 spokes right now untill even better options came up.
