Would you guys put this on one of your nicer bikes that already has a Brooks on it just 'cause it matches the bar tape?

Turbos are eons cooler than brooks in my opinion, especially when they're seasoned.

My friend has a trek 1200 that he inherited from his dad. The saddle on it is missing the cover, so it's kinda just like a foam deal. I'm wondering if it's a turbo because it is shaped very similarly to this. He hates it though.

I like them but I don't think they're great, I have yet to find a "great" seat/saddle, I like it because 1-my buddy gave it to me, and 2-It matches the bar tape on my 73 Schwinn Super Sport, which is at the moment sporting a brown B-17 Narrow.

Well it looks as if the cover was intentionally removed... for whatever reason. But it could just be a similar shaped saddle. And if I were you I'd ride what was comfortable, I haven't ridden a Brooks but they really look uncomfortable.

Turns out it is a Turbo with the cover removed. It says made in italy on the bottom and he thinks the cover says Turbo on it. It's currently being ridden with a gel cover... he doesn't think it's comfortable.

I have a black one on my bike, but it doesn't get ridden any more than five miles at a stretch. It works fine as a commuter saddle, but it's a total hatchet for anything else. Put it on there and if it matches your anatomy go for it. I wish mine fit my butt better.

Turbos are like Brooks, only they're comfy out of the box and even comfier when they break in.

That saddle doesn't even look broken in, just a little abused. You have to be very careful where you lean the bike with leather saddles. That saddle has thousands of miles left in it.
I just gave away my white turbo to someone who said they were looking for one. Mine had +20K miles on it. The leather was worn out by the leg cut outs.
Are these saddles worth anything?
This was my favorite saddle when I was younger, now I like Brooks and the Selle Anatomica type saddles.
