swapping IRO crankset on windsor the hour question
Long story short, I think my best bet given what I have would be to swap my practically brand new IRO crank set on a windsor the hour. The hour has a 103mm bb and the IRO is a 110. Is this going to throw my chainline way off? Can I use spacers in the back?
Or am I better off/can I just change the chain ring and actual crank arms to the IRO and leave the stock windsor bb in?
Never going with conversions anymore.
If both cranksets and spindles are JIS, then yes. If both are ISO, then yes. However, if the IRO has an ISO crank on a JIS spindle, and the Hour has a ISO crank on the ISO spindle, chances are, you will be fine. There are combinations that will throw off your chainline, and combinations that won't. You just have to figure out which you have.
thanks for the starting point. Searching that now. All I found so far is IRO is square taper bottom bracket . "Most likely JIS" from several sources.
FSA Vero crank from THe Hour is JIS.
