Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Gold 26.8 seatpost???

Can't seem to find anything except the very pricey Miche. Anyone know where I can get my hands on one?

Kalloy used to make them, so you might be able to find a NOS one.

I guess Origin 8 is no longer making the Compe Lite seatpost. That's the one that came in just about every color/size you could ever want.

Buy a can of krylon fusion in the hue of gold that you prefer. Let dry, respray. Let dry, respray with a transparent layer of glossy/matte clear coat.

bad idea if you ever want to adjust your seat post

how about buying an aluminum alloy post and getting it anodized.

I've seen them on ebay, but only in 27.2 size. Only 26.8 ones I've seen are black.

www.gruntbull.com

He does great anodizing work for a good price. A seatpaot should run about 30-40 dollars with return shipping
