saddle bag/belt clip ?
 

Looking for something pretty cheap and reasonable, like the Sette lineup is usually pretty discounted on some websites. I've never seen a saddle bag in person, but I'm looking to purchase a small one to keep misc items - tools/wallet/tubes/patches etc, and that I can easily just clip to my belt when I lock up outside. Any recommendations? Or are all the saddle bags basically easy to clip to my belt.

Also what size do you recommend, I don't want this thing being very bulky adn bumping into people

I do not have an answer for you but think it's an interesting issue. The belt clip part makes it interesting. I just use a zip lock sandwich bag that I stuff a tube, patch kit, tire iron, rubber gloves and 15mm stubby wrench wrench and hide it all under my brooks saddle with a Christophe strap laced through the rear eyelets and through the saddle rails. Works like a charm and almost totally "hidden". I've seen dedicated saddle bags of course but never really considered purchasing one. I like your thinking, though.

None of the saddle bags I've ever had (though few) have ever been very easy to remove from the bike... They always just seem like a hassle to put on and take off.

I managed to cram most of my on the road repair tools into the pouch that my multi-tool came in, and then I toe strapped it underneath the seat. Of course this was for a multi-speed, I wouldn't of had room for a 15mm, even a stubby.

I love my Soma seat bag, it's made out of hemp too. They offer the same bag in a quick release too.
I can fit a spare tube and some tools and snacks.

I've rigged a utility belt for myself with a lock holster and a couple pouches from army surplus. Suits me just fine, and I don't have to leave my "valuables" hanging off my seat when I lock up.

Trek makes a line of quick release saddle bags. I've got them on three bikes. 15mm Surly wrench, tire levers, tube, patch kit, couple of allen wrenches
