Non Machined Sidewalls+Front Brake
hey guys so im looking to but a wheelset that are NMSW, but i do run a front brake due to my 13 tickets in the past 6 months of riding brakeless...so i put it on, pretty much i just wanna know what are there if any pros/cons of riding an nmsw wheel, im not concerned about the back wheel but more the front wheel since it does have a brake..will this change the look or the rime or performance of the brakes?
also whats the difference between powdercoat/anodized?
which one will look better in the long run with brakes---paintwise
im sorry if these seem like stupid questions, but i am a fixie
newbie(riding for a month now) and this site along with the
members has been VERY helpul to me to make good and informed deicisons
on buying parts, etc.
these are the two wheelsets in mind...which one would be better and more durable in the long run?

It will be fine
eventually the brake will start to wear through the finish on the wheel (if it isn't already metal colored) and you will wind up with what is basically a machined sidewall

you failed to address the more important wtf:
how did you survive 5 months riding brakeless on a freewheel?
also, why did you wait until your 13th ticket before putting a brake on your bike? did you hit your head on something because you couldn't stop?

Maybe this guy ran over a puppy while cruising the boardwalk. Those things dart out like missles.

Eventually your front wheel will be pretty much machined. Clean the gunk off your brake calipers when that happens. Won't be for a while if you don't plan on using the brake much. But expect some loud screeching noises when you do.
