Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

650c in front, 700c in back?

Any advantage to this? Is it for tricks?

I would assume so since I always see bikes like this with proper risers for barspinning and a thick fork.

Sounds like a cool hipster trend. I might do that on this old tall frame I have just so I'd be able to get on the darn thing.

Sounds like a great idea!
I really doubt that for a price of a 650 front wheel + selling a frame that didn't fit, you could actually buy a frame that fit.
