Hey Sean,

We sold out way faster than we expected on white frames. We have more in production and we expect to get them in mid-December. We are going to start taking pre-orders December 1 and hopefully by then we will have a more exact arrival date.

Thanks!

What's the deal with the sizing of these frames? They seem a lot smaller than other frames of the same seat tube size. Does it have a particularly tight geo? Is it because it's semi-compact? I want to order one of these frames soon, normally I ride something within the 51cm range, which Wheel and Sprocket has in stock, but I'm wondering if I should just wait for Eighthinch to produce more 53's?

I actually liked the pink grips.

New bike looks good though. It would look sick with a matching seat!

Thanks Fu. I do like the pink grips as well, but already had the green accessories here and wanted to check how they looked on the bike. Further down the line, once I get tired of the all-green look, I'll probably put on the pink ones again. I dread when that day comes, though. Changing grips is a PAIN IN THE ASS... and that's an understatement.

can't lie, I've seriously thought the same thing... and also, a black chain. Might be doing it sometime soon.

They do "run small". jack up the seat and space your stem and it fits like "normal" size. Just read the geometry chart. I bought a 57, based purely on what I normally ride in a road bike, should of bought the next one or two sizes up. I'm trying to sell my 57 real soon like and pick up the 59 or 61 when they become available again.

I fit a 51cm Trek perfectly at my LBS, then compared its geometry with the EighthInch before ordering. I ended up going with a 53cm. Definitely measure twice, order once.

Can I trust the numbers on Eighthinch's site to give me a good idea of what to expect or is the real bike pretty different? From what I've seen the geo seems really tight and the slightly sloping top tube throws me off. I'm pretty confused by what Eighthinch refers to as "virtual top tube" and "actual top tube," does anyone know more about this?

Sorry for all the incessant questions.

The top tube does slope, but only a little. Standing about 10' back from the bike, it'd be hard to tell it's not flat. I like the slope, though, because it gives me just enough extra standover clearance. Yes, you can trust the numbers on their site.

Measured from the ground:

Just curious, Why Would anyone buy the carbon fork instead of the standard? Is it a lot lighter or something? What is the reasoning?

It's been down curbs without any sense of wear, it gives me a much smoother ride which I like. It is lighter but not significantly lighter, and I think it looks a lot better then the fork that comes with the scrambler

One more question guys, then I'll stop I swear. How long is the seatpost that comes with the frameset?
