Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

is this a good price for an '09 bianchi pista?

i'm shopping for a complete FG to start with. I don't have apartment space to build/work on a bike.
i was initially looking at the Kilo Stripper, but it's perpetually sold out.
so i upped my budget a bit and looked at the Charge Plug Racer, Fuji Feather, EigthInch Scrambler, etc.

Above all - like so many other people in the world, i really love the 09 chrome bianchi pista.

there's a shop selling them, new, for $599. i'd add a brake.

what do you think?

Yes!

Of course if you wait until the end of the year you’ll get the 2010 for less but since it’s the beginning 599 is about right.
