Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

flat right before thanksgiving. awesome.

i had planned to bring my bike out to the parent's house for thanksgiving so i could screw around while all the old guys fell asleep.

i check it now, 1130pm, and it's got a flat, with no puncture that i can see.
aaaaand i don't have a repair kit.
aaaaand tomorrow the bike store will be closed because it's thanksgiving.

ffffffuuuuuuuu

It may sound funny but I have used ducktape with success. Id say go for it. The pressure between the tube and tire will hold it in place.

Bicycling Magazine Tip

Worst case scenario: find the puncture. Cut it out with scissors. Your tube is now a hose, not a tube. Tie a knot in it. Re-install. Yes you will feel a bump when the knot comes around but you can ride.
