Please Help: powdercoating and or anodizing in the new york area
Hey Guys,
I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for a quality and hopefully affordable powdercoat guy in the New York City area. Also if anyone knew of anybody doing anodizing for a decent price in New York or at the very least someone who accepts shipped parts to be anodized. Thanks for the help.

there was a thread about powder coating in nyc a while ago. I'm lazy to search for it. Should come up in the search function.

I appreciate the feedback. I am not on this forum much these days and the search function hasn't been as helpful to me. Do you happen to have a link Ichitz? Thanks.

hmm.. u're right. I can't find it either. This new forum's search function really sucks. And I don't have the links to any shops, unfortunately. I didn't save it. Sorry man. Hopefully someone will come along and put up some links.

I would also like to know a good anodizer. You could always call jeff (or go by the shop) at continuum and ask who he goes through. I asked him once and he was sort of vague ( I think he was looking for a new one). I know a great powdercoater in savannah GA that I ship my stuff to. This is for a specific application though and may not be worth the effort. I also know a cheap good PC-er in RI if you have any reason for going there.

I would forget about the paint job and buy a couple of rolls of black electrical tape if you're locking your bike on the street. But I do have a friend who works at Bicycle Habitat. I'll ask her if she has a resource for paint and get back to you.

Yea, I called continuum, but the guy who answered said he didn't know anyone local, but he did refer me to someone at ny velo(carlos i think). Thanks for all of the feedback on the thread. I thought this would have been way easier than it ended up being.
