Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Clean, Classic, Sharp Looking Bikes

Help me answer a question for a friend. He wanted to know what is the best looking bike. Knowing the forums everyone will have a different opinion, and knowing him, he likes clean simple designed things I was hoping that the collective knowledge will be able to guide him in the general direction.

So please post links to bikes, photos, or websites that are, clean, classic and sharp looking.
No excessive decals, colors or logos. Gears are always welcome.

There are hundreds of threads with pictures of bikes that people think look good. Why don't you search around a bit instead of asking everyone to repost the same photos.

I think if you are looking for classic bicycle look with classic lines, there is only one option. I see this bicycle everywhere. I think it is made by Heywood Jablome.

Yeah, cats help, awesome. I didn't realize that this was to much to ask for. When the bike porn thread rolled around it got thousands of responses, easy if you like to lust huh. I never once asked for a consensus on the best looking bike only some directions to start looking. Yes I could search the thousands of threads and hand pick 50 but that would not help my friend, it would only help me. I have my opinion on what looks good, I wanted to help him in the right direction.

How about a 30 day self imposed exile to the recumbent forum? Plenty of time to grow a beard and fat belly. Maybe when you get back you can start a new fad in the SSFG: orange flags.

Ok, so send your friend here to look around by themselves and get back to you on what they like.

I know what my friend likes, and the reason that he asked me is because he thought I would be able to answer his question. Turns out that I cant and that is what I am asking for help with. If you are to dense to understand that? maybe I am in the wrong place. Was my post to confusing for you guys?

I was also mistaken...

This is as clean as it gets...no lines is cleaner than clean lines.

It dose not bother me that all of you are being jackasses, however I am surprised that that you are so unwilling to help, each and every one of you that posted could have put a picture of a cat or unicycle and then under it said "go here, they make some cool bikes that I think your friend might like."

I was serious with my unicycle comment. They are simple and insanely fun. Plus chicks dig them.

But then you want us to help your friend... who won't come here. So in the end u're still deciding based on what we suggest you. So in reality we're still helping you. So how does that help your friend? I'm lost and confused.

Is her seatpost being supported by the waterbottle? Does that mean it will collapse when she drinks her water?
