650 C Botrager Fork on 90's bike
Hi there
I have a question accordingly new 650 C BONTRAGER Trek bike fork and adjusting it to the 90's bike road frame. Is it possible and what should i check to know? Can the fork be threaded like old-school ones? or i will need to use new standard stems
fork looks like this: https://i.ebayimg.com/08/!BZuu%28VgBWk~$%28KGrHgoOKiQEjlLmZ!24BKoD9-%29uC!~~_35.JPG
and bike is very similar to this one https://velospace.org/files/IMG_1725.JPG
and what would be advantages and disadvantages of doing that? i mean changing 700C front fork to 650C same with wheel.
Thanks in advance!

Disadvantages = Handling is going to change, more than likely not in a good way.
What is your intent with this? Trying to make your bike look "pursuitish"?

i was up to front carbon fork during the time, to decrease weight. but reason of 650 C as you sad to make "pursuitish". How it could affect handling btw.

Look at the head tube angle on an actual pursuit frame:
Now imagine it with a longer road fork and bigger front wheel, it will lift the front up and look a bit like a chopper.
Now look at a road head tube:
Note the head tube angle. Now imagine putting on a shorter fork and smaller wheel, the head tube will now be at a much steeper angle.
I recommend doing a bit of google work on "rake" and "trail".

Is anybody going to mention that it also looks like a 1 1/8" threadless fork, and a bike from the 90's will require a 1" fork?
