another saddle suggestion thread

I also posted this in C&V, but input here would be appreciated -
For this:

I will be using the original fork. Campy parts. Cinelli track bar.
I have a white turbo saddle I could use, also a black rolls saddle.
But I'm inclined to get a black brooks swift.
Thoughts, or other suggestions?

the white turbo would look great. as for the brooks, unless its something narrow (like a swallow) I think that it would look a bit odd on that.

yea.. something white would look nice.
But saddle is all about comfort. Brooks have white saddles now. Damn expensive. I was looking at the Selle San Marco earlier. Looks good too.

I can compare both on the frame before I decide. The turbo is fairly comfortable to me already, the brooks would require a brake-in period of course.

yea, but after the break-in, it's so comfortable. I run a brooks swift. I'll def recommend it.

ride whatever feels good. its not like anyone can see the saddle while you're riding anyway. looks are the least important thing when it comes to a saddle.

Well I'm probably going to go w/ either the turbo or rolls at first, and wait for a deal or just save up for a cinelli or concor.

I'd skip the Rolls if I were you, those things are for beach cruisers. I have a vintage Super Turbo and a vintage Concor Max, and the Turbo is great, but my Concor feels much more comfortable.

I paid $60 for my Turbo, and $70 for my Concor. They can be had pretty inexpensively if you keep an eye out.

Here are the turbo and rolls I have:

I don't think the rolls is exactly beach cruiser spec but I do like the looks of your concor better.

Oh yea that rolls looks good. My buddy has the Titanium version with the silver accents and the smooth top, not nearly as cool.

Rolls or Turbo. Both look nice. IMO Rolls is more comfy.

my saddle choices for all my bikes are based on several things, comfort being one important part, but not the only determinant. All my bikes but one are vintage so I don't slap just any thing that works on them.

I have a Brooks Ti Swift on one of my bikes, and it looks and feels the best of the Brooks saddles, to me.
