Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hey come check me out! (checking in...)

Hey all. I admit, I've been a lurker on here for a couple of months now. Finally felt like the formal check-in. I've had this moto track since they came out in sept09. I ride in south bay LA all day long. I mostly commute to work (~12miles round trip) and the occasional long bike rides up the coast of LA. Here are a couple pics through the building process (sorry for crap quality iphone pics)...

Chopped my bars since the drops that came with it sucked. didn't have any bar tape so i used some old tennis grip tape for a while but that got old. I also thought I was super cool with my top tube pad (genital protection?)

New grips, ditched the top tube pad, thought the water bottle cage would be useful.

Sweet bike rack. Picked up the bmx at goodwill for $10 and cleaned it up and threw some nice grips on there

What it looks like as of now. Any thoughts? Hope you enjoyed. Oh and happy holidays
