Difference between Kilo tt and Pro?

I am new, don't know much about Bikes. I'd like to get a fixed, but was unsure on the difference between the base Kilo tt and the Kill tt pro?

Bikes direct says its the wheels, chain, ect...but how much of a difference is this really? I am going to use the bike for commuting from school and back, occasionally long distances.

Also, should I change out the rear hub to something better, like a 16T?

Where do I buy replacement parts: bars, gears, ect?

thanks for your help!

I checked that site, but found nothing specific?

I searched google, again with no real specific information.

I guess my main question is: for just daily commuting, is the pro better than the standard kilo?

Components are a tad better I mean the rd's are in my opinion much better then the stock touro's

But like everyone says it's been asked before so google or the seach button

basically the base bike you will prob end up upgrading everything

PRO Upgrades from the regular Kilo TT:
Pro-grade Forged Aluminum Sugino Track crankset (130 BCD)
Custom Alex SUB 30mm V-Aero section wheelset - Wheelset alone is worth $350 to $400
Precision Sealed Bearing Hi-flange Hubs
Tektro RL570 cross top lever + R350 front brake - Valued at $40
Custom paint colors
KMC Gold edition chain
Fast rolling Kenda Koncept Lite Kevlar bead tires

the parts are O-k the only plus for me was the cranks but there not the best either but it shouldn't matter since your just starting out
Your not the first to ask dont worry this forum is a bit mean at times

don t worry I asked the same thing the other day

I found that at that price you can find one hell of a better used bike,

It's all good. I'm on a lot of car forums, so I am used to others being rude with the "search!!!" reply :).

Well, I guess if I am going to eventually want to upgrade then the pro might be a better bet, being that its only another 100 bucks.

Also, what about the rear 16T? For someone who isn't used to riding everyday, should I get something like an 18? I'm 6 foot, 165lbs, so it shouldn't take long for me to get used to whatever.

thanks for the welcome!

Did you look at the Phantomcross Uno? For commuting, at the same price, it seems better. Plus, it starts with a low gear + brakes, that's good for someone new to riding. It's the same ratio I use, good stuff.
