This bike instantly caught my eye. Pretty cool design....thoughts???

I like it, the double top tube has been around for over 100 years, but I still REALLY like the bike. =0)
|
|
Just saw it today for the first time. Didn't realize that similar threads already existed.

No matter how many threads there are about it, its still really ugly.
|
I concur.

It looks just kinda wrong. I do like the bars though.
|
It's a poor attempt to look retro cool, and to me it looks like someone at the factory made a mistake and accidentally put in an extra top tube. Also, why bother to put a serious 144 bcd track crank on a heavy fat tired bike that almost looks like a beach cruiser. Mixed metaphors here.

I'm still holding off on getting one, my "fun" budget is shot on machine work for my motorcycle at the moment.. |

have to disagree... think that if it was set up with hammered fenders, racks, paniers, dirt drops/mustache bars, and some decent cx/trail tires, it would be pretty bad arse.

So basically, if it was set up totally different than it is now, it wouldn't be bad looking. That puts us right back at calling it ugly.

Still think it could be done up nice tho. |

I don't see sufficient clearance for that. If you really want to do that sort of thing you need something the lines of an old rigid MTB frame. I think Sixty Fiver can show you something along those lines.
... or just buy some Honjo-Koken fenders. ;) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3357/...1d4995cf07.jpg |
Enough about this dumb bike. Here's a pic of my wife dancing with our cat Mofo:

I didn't think people actually lived at Ikea. What do you do with the cat during the day? By the way, that backlight is causing some underexposure, yet your image is still not sharp. You suck as a photographer.
|
In all fairness, one of the lounge rooms in my house has oak flooring and a Tibetan red feature wall, so it's somewhat similar. But not so Ikea-looking.
|
Oh come on! My house is rad. So what if our kitchen table & chairs came from Ikea?
I know it's a bad pic. It was taken with my phone just to capture a moment. Mofo does this thing where he stands on his hind legs and kinda sways back and forth when Angie (my wife) dances near him. So she usually grabs his paws and they collectively boogie down. My cats are all really crazy. At least we're not talking about that ugly bike anymore. |
