So I saw this today. https://www.emachineshop.com/index.html It kind of makes me want to learn CAD and design my own hubs and stuff.

I am intrigued....I want to make a really sweet bottle opener that doubles as a taxi-denting device.

Some guys on the framebuilder's forum have made some headtube badges with them. They got a good price on them too....like $2/badge for 40 of 'em.
As far as a hub goes, I bet they'd charge an arm and a left testicle.

I had access to some of this technology in grad school--CNC mills, 3D printers, laser cutters, wire foam cutters. It is really amazing what you can do. The danger is that you can get so caught up in playing designer that you forget about engineering. And calculating load limits is borrrring.
