Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

with a 1x10 that gives me enough gearing to get up long climbs, i compromise my gearing choice by having really big gaps between cog sizes in the upper half of the cassette (sometimes hard to find a comfortable cadence) and i can easily spin out descending above 35mph.
itl have 105 stock 2x10 so ill try that and maybe one day if (when) i upgrade the group ill try out 1x and see how limited i feel, or how much i miss the big ring

thx <3

yea it's pretty legit that it works without much hassle. gives you the ergonomics of campy with the convenience and affordability of SRAM.

My 1966 Moulton F, 7 speed IGH... it is one of the smoothest riding bicycles I have ever ridden which is due to the suspension.

It is a blast.

They are an incredibly well designed bicycle... the front suspension and rear damper offset the small and very lightweight wheels and high pressure tyres and it delivers a Cadillac ride while being extremely nimble and fast.

My friend built it up and has an impressive collection of Moultons (the only bike he rides)... the build quality is first rate.

I have been considering something like that if has removable face plate... Just don't feel like rewrapping or F'ing with brake cables.
