Haha, yeah it looks like the previous owner had a thing for part swapping, he also changed out the bars and stem to Bontrager Race X, changed saddle and seatpost, and like I said before neither wheel is original (I think one tire might be, though). The front 105 derailleur even appears to be from a different model year from the rest of the 105 stuff. Good thing I'm not anal retentive about stuff matching!

Well, I only get the el-cheapo $6 aluminum ones from the LBS, but if you're lucky, sometimes they come in other colors besides plain aluminum.

Just put the finishing touches on this build today:
More pics for anyone interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/6418784...7628846784505/
Took about 17 days total, some waiting on parts, some just me being lazy. It was my first frame-up build, and I love it! Ready for some great times ahead.

On my previous bike I had Red cranks, and I really liked the stiffness of the outer ring in shifting. I actually left the inner chainring as the original rival ring and just threw on the outer; I figure the differences between the two inner rings are undetectable anyway. I really like the look of the red outer ring, so that helped the decision, too.
Thanks for the appreciation guys!
