1972 Columbia 3 speed. My commuter bike. Just threw out the stupid dumb steel rims and laced up some alloy Ukais. 27" wheels.

Not really mine, but while we're on a theme, a friend's Columbia 3 speed that I took these photos of.

I've just got to come out of shadows of this thread and congratulate you on such a sweet bike. Very tastefully done! :thumb:

beautiful bikes krusty, but what is that last frame?

Six jours 04-05-10 09:41 PM

Pretty sure that's a Corima.

krusty 04-05-10 09:45 PM

Corima Puma from about 2000ish. Carbon over structural foam. Real stiff in the BB area, but comfy as heck (can you say laterally stiff but vertically compliant?)

Unfortunately I don't have a good shot of the seatpost. It's all of about 1/4" thick.

Wow, that is something. How much does it weigh?

krusty 04-06-10 08:38 AM

17ish lbs. It's not a lightweight by today's standards.
