Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Sweet Paul Hubs

Ordered these from Gaansari last week and built them over the weekend...they're Paul Component high flange, flip/flop, annodized a nice gold with a large Gaansari logo etched into hub body. Can't speak to their durability, etc as they are brand new, but Paul makes great stuff so I'm optomistic. Makes me wanna' go find some more gold components to pimp out the rock lobster...

Awesome! Never seen them in Gold, but I do have a slight gold fetish ( road bike has gold Tune hubs, gold chainring bolts ). I've seen the Campy high flanges explode when ridden on the road, but the Pauls look a lot beefier in the flange section, so they should be fine I'm guessing.

You should've got a gold pearl over top of the white paint on the RL

Hey, Thylacine, check out the gold Campy cranks...there's a gold Campy 43t chainring from the same seller as well.

I like to see a high flange hub version of the spinning disks that you find on pimped car wheels, the kind that keep spinning even when the wheel is not moving.

I vaguely remember reading that there was a jeweller in the UK that did actual gold and silver custom engraved spacers for bikes ...
