If you're planning what I think you're planning, DON'T!!!
It is more clever than the usual kanji tattoo, but it is not that clever.
If that's not what you're thinking carry on.

Seriously though, please don't...

and no i was just eating ice cream and thinking about my dura-ace pedals and thought.. hm... wtf i've never seen shimano in kanji~
i shake my head @ any tatoos/piercings~

cuz i went to shimano's site and apparently shimano is named because the creater was named: Shozaburo Shimano so that musta been in kanji one time or another~

I don't think Shimano exist in Kanji.
if it does, it'd appear somewhere on Google.

Same, but 之万乃 seem to be the closet form...
I hope you'll find the correct answer though.

GOOD NEWS!!
I read the company's timeline in Japanese on the site, and I found Mr. Shimano's name.
島野庄三郎
and I realized his name was on Wiki...

Shimano is written as シマノ (katakana, not kanji) in all the company literature.

However the man who started the company's name was Shimano written as 島野.

Shimano is actually half way decent. ... Some Japanese companies use different names for different products. Yoshigai uses like Gran Compe or Dia Compe ... I dunno how these people keep track of names at all. I think you gotta have uber memory and remember everything. ... I am totally unqualified to be a Japanese.
