well im sure its brand new, i bought it off some guy on craiglist. he just swapped out some stock parts like the seat, tires and the handlebars. he also had another one for sale new in box for $300, but not assembled. seems like a really good deal, because the MSRP on these are $489.

i dont think they were stolen because the other one was brand new unassembled in the box, he said he got it from a clearance and he works at a bike shop. i wonder if these clearance sales are only available to bike shop workers.

Bike shop employees get pro deals but the intention is not for the employee to resell them immediately and profit from them. Pro deals are designed so that the manufacturers get the people that sell their bikes to also ride them which in turn increases sales. Any legit bike company, like KHS for example would question why a bike shop employee needs more than one of the same bike. Any legit bike shop would also ask the very same question of their employee. Allowing a bike shop employee to buy clearout bikes and reselling them puts the employee in direct competition with the store they work for. It does not work that way in bicycle retail. My quess it that they are stolen. But hey you believe what you want.

i think he said he owned a bike shop, cuz he had a bike shop invoice and everything. maybe he just sells them on craigslist because its cheap advertising and doesnt have anymore room in the shop for the older models.
