Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So my sis is in SF right now..

My sis and I are twins and she absorbs a lot of my bike talk just bc I'm such a nerd ab it.

Anyway, she has started to recognize what fixed gears are since I have 4 of them. She's in SF this weekend and she sent me this pic with the caption "first sighting":

guhhh. She needs more schooling.

My non-cycling friends do the same. They point out bikes to me when we're out. They actually tend to have nice taste. They don't normally like the overly colourful jackass tarck bikes.

IRO frame, check.
Top tube protector, check.
Riser bars, check.
BMX grips, check.
Deep V, check.
Aerospoke, check.
Anodized crankset, check.

Well, citizen, looks like you've hit all the requirements. I'm pleased to issue your Hipster Card. Don't forget to show it at 7-11: it's good for a 10% discount on Natty Ice and Parliaments.
