velo orange fenders on a kilo tt

ive tried searching for this, but haven't found any answers.

has anyone been able to squeeze the VO 37mm fenders (these: https://www.velo-orange.com/vo52posmfe.html) on a kilo tt with 23 or 25c tires and front/rear brakes?

if not, what about the honjo 35mm? https://www.velo-orange.com/ho35fesmha.html

i guess i will be the first to find out... i plan on installing a set of those fenders along with the VO chainguard... should be interesting!

im purchasing the aluminum fenders because i feel it would be easy to bend the edges inward where my brakes are, as opposed to the plastic planet bike fenders.

im considering switching to the freewheel side as well, should toe overlap be a big problem. will post updates later this month (May)...

I can tell you from experience that SKS P35 (similar to the Planet Bike ones) do not fit on a Kilo TT with 25c tires and brakes. I don't even think they will fit with 23c tires, but maybe with no brakes...

For sure 37mm would be too wide. And even the 35mm you would probably have to modify those metal fenders somehow to fit.

I'm also not sure that chain guard will work on the frame either, at least not without some p-clamps or whatever. Maybe ask Velo Orange directly?

FWIW I use removable SKS Raceblade XL's on my Kilo.

I think there's another old thread or posts about fenders on a Kilo somewhere if you search...

You might think about a river city reacharound. https://rivercitybicycles.com/product...ackets-737.htm But it requires cutting the fender in half.

Personally, i wouldn't bother ****ing around hacking up nice alu fenders; I'd consider installing raceblades, but the simplest solution is to get a higher-clearance/ non track frame for rain riding.
