Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I can't. 850 bucks is a sweet price but too many bills are due right now and I can't justify it. I think my wife was literally drooling when she just saw it. Then she said she'll kill me if I buy it.

Very true. But $850 is still pretty nice. Ugh...

Do it Scrod, you can probably hawk off your TT for the same price in parts anyway!

Campy track cranks from that era are, I think, 151BCD. I know someone with a set that she's not using. She wants to sell them.

If my wife wasn't the most awesome person I've ever met, I'd be riding this thing down to the courthouse to file divorce papers Monday morning.

Luckily the wife is way into bikes too. She just said if it were her size, she'd be having the same dilemma.

That's gorgeous. To the cranks thing, I'll add that it's too bad about the wheels, but $850 isn't bad.

. . . and it's even my size.

I may be reading it wrong, but it looks like he's selling just the frame; note the "Comes with:" part. Still not a bad deal, though...vintage track bikes bring big money.
