Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Used B43's for $200 - What should i do?

I know this is a good deal, but here is the deal, i can afford it, but don't think i really need them. Is this price too good to pass up? If it is that much of a steal, i will buy them.

They have only been used for 2 months

If you haven't got a set of wheels for your new build, 200 bones for some B-43s is a good deal to me.

Well, they are currently on the Obey that I am going to test ride this weekend. But im sorta torn on whether or not i should just go with the Stock Obey with new hubs for $550, or the Obey with the B43's for $700.

I forgot the price as well; decent formula laced sets are around $205 - $225 new @ velomine...

meaning, how do i know that a certain wheelset will fit on my frame. Or when we are discussing FG/SS bicycles, do all wheelsets normally have the same wheel size.

for example: if i blindly order a set of B43's online, will they fit?

All modern road/fixed gear wheels are all 700c, if they are different size, dealer would most likely label it.
Your wheels are going to fit perfectly into your frame.

I wonder why those wheels use 16mm nipples when 12mm would work fine...
maybe the machine scratches the rim when using 12mm?

oh well.
