New wheelset questions.
Currently, I've got Formula hubs and cheapo Alex rims on my Steamroller. I'm looking to keep those as a second set and buy another set of wheels. My main uses are just road riding for now. No racing yet, as the proposed velodrome has not commenced construction.
Anyway, I'd like something a bit more stiff and light. Some of the roads here are rough, so something that will be a bit durable (will be using 23mm tires). Price wise, I'd like to keep it under $400. Currently buying another set of wheels for my mountain bike (Stan's Crest 29er), and trying to get another set of wheels by the CFO will be hard enough as it is.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Also, just wanted to add I couldn't care less about style points--meaning colored spokes, deep dish rims, spoke cards, hello kitty stem caps, etc. are not applicable here.
