Anyone have experience with wheels off BikeIsland.
I'm looking to upgrade my wheels, they are currently Alexis Solo (stock wheels on Bianchi Pista)
Now I was going to go for Deep V's with origin 8 hubs, but then found these 2.
https://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ils&ProdID=611
https://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=1232
How do they compare to Deep V's ?
Are the hubs stock on Bianchi Pista wheels any good?? In other words will this even be much of an upgrade; a noticeable difference?
Help is appreciated, thnx.

never had an issue with my vueltas (the lowest/cheapest ones they sell) in over 2000mi. They aren't arrow straight, but i hop off curbs occasionally, ride through downtown often, and have never touched them with a spoke wrench.
Dunno how those compare to stock pista wheels.

However, they are not light by any means. But the links you provided seemed much nicer than what I have, because they are $50 more I would think they are at least somewhat better/lighter but I don't know.
Have you looked at https://bicyclewheelwarehouse.com/ind...ewCat&catId=45 ? The Mavic CXP22 seem to be well though of and are in the same price range you're looking at.

I have a wheelset from Bikeisland I bought 2 years ago, although not that good. Weinman rims on an "alloy" flipflop hub for my mtb. So far I have abused the hell out of them and have yet to have them trued. No idea what the hub make is, but have had no issues with threads, although I use the miche carrier system and have not taken it off since I bought the wheel. For an internet purchase of cheap wheels I am extremely impressed.
