Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

It's 10mm chain pitch. Unless you also get a 10mm chain and cog, you'll be SOL.

Warning: Dura-Ace 10.

10mm pitch, you'll need to track down a DA10 cog and chain in order for that to work. Both can be tricky/expensive to find.

Neat old crankset though!

Edit: dang, Tejano beat me to it.

It's the length of a chain link and the spacing of the chainring/cog teeth. Modern chains are all 1/2" pitch (12.7mm).
