Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Specialized Trispoke Fail!

Gosh, I should google or search the forum first before I buy stuffs.

I bought old Spec trispoke which uses pre '97 DA hub and I've never doubted I couldn't use Surly Fixxer on it.

But as Carpediemracer a.k.a. cdr posted before, it's impossible to use surly fixxer on old Spec trispoke.

So I'm thinking about getting this one:
https://www.hedcycling.com/accessorie..._track_kit.asp

But the problem is it apparently looks same as surly fixxer.

Is there somebody tried this kit on Spec trispoke?

+ I discovered I need this tool to disassemble pre '97 DA hub

It is the best to contact HED and Surly to see if you can use the adapter on it.
Email them!

Maybe you should change the thread title to reflect the fact that it was indeed you, not the tri-spoke that failed.

I don't see a point in making misleading thread titles that trash a perfectly good bicycle company, large or small.

Wheels "failing" is a distinct and separate issue, as well as being much less boring to read about.
