seems to made by the viking crew. kinda pricey though. Leader or Visp style (and probably quality-- although it is 7005 alum).

$400 is pricey for a frame that will hold up to a 100kg rider putting out 1860watts in a velodrama sprint?

This frame was made for me. It calls my name.

$400 is not bad (assuming it comes with a fork and headset) for a performance-oriented track frame (which is what i thought this bike was being marketed as). would be better if it had a carbon fork. not too many sizes available, huge jumps in reach between sizes. and no pics of the whole frame, eh?

what's expensive are those Vikings. $600 for a frame? unless the tubing is a higher grade of Reynolds (which seems kinda doubtful), that price point is outrageous. plus shipping, that frame would cost $643 shipped to my door. I could buy a Bob Jackson for cheaper than that, and have bigger choice in paint selection & free lug lining to boot.

$400 isn't bad at all. The thick tubing just sort of makes it look like every other cheap aluminum frameset out there though.

Joseph is selling his old steel framesets for $350 for a raw one (the best one, IMO). 53 cm only. Recall:

With shipping it'd be about $400. Not bad though, for such a high quality lugged frameset.

Considering the frame is aluminum and the dropouts are stainless steel, I think it's a nifty idea.

7005 or 6061 doesn't necessarily imply anything about the quality. Both high end and low end frames are made with both materials.

ask the people who got in on the Alien group buy a while back about the "quality" of the frames they got. also, the dropouts are inherently flawed, as the geometry changes whenever the rear wheel is moved in the dropouts.

It's not gears it wheelbase as you know.

I bought a Vector as a kid for this feature. I would pop a link outta the chain for the tighter tracks I'd ride and lengthen the wheelbase to slow it down on sweeper tracks.

Funny though, looking at the pseudo blueprint and the ANGLE at which the picture was taken I doubt this frame has this "feature" in the first place.

right but to get proper chain tension, your gear choice will affect your chain length will affect your wheelbase. which obviously is what i meant.

taking a link out isn't going to work with every gear ratio.

pretty sure the variable geometry is a byproduct of bad design, and completely unintended.
