Origin 8 Cranks - BB?

Hey folks,

Newbie question from me here. I'm building a budget SS bike for my prof and was looking to order some Origin 8 cranks. I'm assuming that the taper is ISO? So a Shimano BB will be fine? Can't find any info on their website or eBay listings.

Cheers!

Yes, an ISO square taper BB will do just fine.

For the 110bcd crank Ben's Cycles from Milwalkee recommends a 107mm BB.

For the 130bcd crank other online shops recommend a 103mm BB to achieve a standard 42mm SS/FG chainline.

UN54/UN53/UN72(if you can find it) in either lenght will suit you.

The spider size has nothing to do with taper lengths. In other words, they are not universal.

Shimano's UN54 should work fine with them, Origin 8 makes bottom brackets too, you could buy those just to be safe.

Umm, isn't ISO campy?

Shimano is JIS.

Sorry, this is what I meant. Brain fart.

Thanks guys! Apologies for the newbie question. I usually just buy matching BBs to be safe.
