Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Help me Choose?

hello all,
This is my first post on bikeforums.net. I'm in the market for my first road bike. I'm going to be purchasing it from BD. I've narrowed it down to 3. Just not sure if there's any large difference between them. If anyone is willing to offer their knowledgeable opinion it would be greatly appreciated. The 3 I'm looking at are:

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/.../clockwork.htm

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...essenger_x.htm

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...cane/track.htm

Thank you.

Clockwork and Messenger essentially the same; Moto Track cheaper but missing a front brake. Front brake >> rear. Get two brakes, especially if riding singlespeed. Pick whichever bike has a preferable color scheme, since they are otherwise comparable.
