Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? This is true. However, I am very glad that Americans are starting to care. There isn't another country that doesn't take great pride in the products they produce. American business can use the boost and we should be willing to give it to them in order to provide them the chance of returning to having the most intelligent, creative, motivated (not to mention good looking) people on the planet making the best, most innovative products the world has ever seen. We sort of lost our way there for awhile. We let ourselves go. We are now paying the price. But, I think we now see that for what it is, are taking it on the chin and coming back swinging.

Time to stand up and make the world believers again. Whenever appropriate - meaning whenever the quality is there - we should all buy American. It will cost more. But, that's fine. We provide more. It's a best value as opposed to lowest price proposition. Never settle for crap. Insist on good, old fashioned, best quality, most innovative American products. If you do not find an American product that meets those criteria then buy a product made in another country and tell someone in the store you are in - preferably a manager - why you are buying a product produced overseas. Because they are not selling your preferred product which would be a standout quality, American made thingy.

Here are some pics of the Citizen Pack. Unless I lived somewhere with a perpetual monsoon season, I would think having a rolltop would get really annoying really quickly.

I got a free backpack---plus shipping and handling---by sending in aluminium can pop tops. It's holding up well.

*mind explode*

After I read your post, I went back to the picture like three times and thought, noooo. And here I was thinking that the girl on the right was clearly added just to have some semblance of gender balance.

I was thinking the same thing too, then I opened the picture in another tab and saw the plaid girl wearing hoops.

RE: Mission backpacks - For $220 I'd save $30 and get a T-level backpack instead.

t-levels are designed based off a trapper keeper, and they're made in taiwan. i'll eat that 30 dollars and enjoy the **** out of the MW, thanks.

They are made in Korea. Where do you think all the fabric in your "American" bag comes from? The buckles? The strapping? Wonder what nationality the person sewing the bag is and if they are legally working in America?

A trapper keeper? That's the worst comeback I've ever seen. It's a great cycling bag. Wish I could get my mitts on one. Sold out everywhere.

it's not a comeback, it's a humorous insult.

and i hope the mission workshop is sewn by illegal laborers that are 3 years old and get paid in Beer, from materials that are nuclear hazards hardened in a baby seal resin.

it will still be a better bag than the t-level, and i'd still rather have it than a t-level and 60 dollars. i just don't like the t-level- not the style, not the design, not the price. i'd pay 75-90 for a t-level... i'd pay 180-200 for a mw.
