Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I got hit to!...by a parked car.

So yeah. My turn to.

I didnt exactly get hit by a car. More like I pulled over to the right to let a car pass on a narrow street. Didnt go onto the sidewalk.

I forgot there was a car parked in front of me about 30 feet, and a moment later......I ran into the car.Flipped over lol.

I was laughing mfao.

So i got hit by a parked car.

and a pretty girl came up and asked if I was alright. Felt hella stupid.

my roommate ran into a parked car 2 months ago....

riding home from the bar, not even drunk, someone called his cell phone and he was fishing around his pocket for it and turned into the back of a parked SUV......went through the back windshield, got cuts on his head and a fat gash in his arm. needed like 17 stitches. the scar looks like a bloated mouth so i like to take a sharpie and draw the scar mouth some eyes!

Geez, that's the worst case of hitting a parked car I have ever heard. Was he ultimately OK?

oh yah he is totally fine now. just has a big scar to remember it by.
(and some hefty medical bills)
the crazy part is the SUV belonged to a homeless guy and he was sleeping in the car at the time! imagine being woken up with a big 6'3 guy crashed thru your back window!

My brother was dogging potholes and then a Black ford truck just teleported in front of his tires.

Sneaky.

haha too funny thanks for sharing, but seriously glad you are OK. I almost did that on my very 1st real-time commute. I was so busy checking my footing and gearing as I took off that I came within inches of ramming into my neighbor's truck which was just 15' in front of me! (dam long beds)
