Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? First fixie!

i've been looking around and ive found a few bikes that im trying to decide between

Tommaso Ninja Pro, Digger - https://www.giantnerd.com/bike/bikes/...ack-bikes.html

Vilano Zulu - (The link wouldn't work)

I've also looked at https://www.republicbike.com/?gclid=C...FSFciAodQCj5eQ and https://www.bigshotbikes.com/ but i heard they aren't that great and i would have a lot of problems with them if messed with them too much

my budget is $400 and under and im looking for a bike that i would be able to trick on a little bit but is still an around fixie what would you recommend?

thanks

I was once on the same boat with you. I couldn't decide which bike I wanted to get. I made my decision and picked up a '09 MASI Speciale Fixed. I got it for a hefty price tag. I figured I spent way too much money for my first fixed gear bike. I was lucky to sell it for almost the same price and recently picked up a Kilo Stripper. It took me a couple days to get use to the geometry of the bike but I am very happy with my purchase.

Tommaso Ninja Premium Specs:
* Tommaso Cro-mo Steel Track Frame.
* Truvativ 48t Touro Crank
* REAR FLIP/FLOP HUB with a single speed 16t cog
* Frame and fork are drilled to accept front and rear road brakes.
PEDALS: This bike does not include pedals.

I suggest a Kilo TT from Bikesdirect.
It's $360.
With it you get a Cro-mo frame, Truvativ 48t crank, Rear Flip/Flop Hub with a 16t Fixed cog, a frame and fork drilled for brake, pedals/clips/straps (and maybe brakes, I don't know if they still ship with them but mine did.

The Kilo TT is not the right bike for this. If that's priority for you, get a bike / frame designed for this purpose.
