Thanks! he's a bit older now, and he darkened up a bit. I'll have to start that cat thread for you soon!

Squirrelli 08-23-10 09:45 PM

He'll probably turn whiter if you stop putting him in the dust pan!

Cats are so super duper awesome, I would get a cat if my sister is not allergic to them. Maybe when I move out and financially stable, I'm still a kid.

This little critter just cost me $2,600.00 in veterinary bills. And he's not even all that cute! I could have bought several dozen cuter cats with that money...Or some top of the line bicycle components.

I also stalked a little of Banzai's photographs . . . so cool! Absolutely stunning stuff. Do you do it professionally or more freelance stuff, if you don't mind my asking?

Dr. Banzai 08-24-10 06:53 PM

I used to be a pro shooter. Lived in the Caribbean for a while, ran a studio there. Wife had enough and we came home. Right now every girl with a $500 slr is trying to break into maternity, wedding, engagement stuff and that is the stuff that makes it worth it when commercial or stock stuff is thin. I went back to the corporate world, I like making my mortgage payments.

Brianna who is charging $300 per wedding is putting us outta business. That's fine, people who want good photography will pay for it. I'm just not established enough here to risk my house on it. Living in the Caribbean was nice though. Crap place to ride a bike however. I was on a tiny little island with dirt roads.

That for the compliments, much appreciated.

Almost the same with my father. He got into commercial photo. after his MFA and won some awards but he could never make enough money unfortunately. He wanted to go back to school for photo. but the money wasnt there :(

Yeah, that username is taken here. I was sure you knew that was me. Same username on fv?

Squirrelli 08-24-10 08:48 PM

I didn't know you were cosworth until I saw your website's watermark on the kitty picture.

I go by VictorxTubs on there, I used to think the word "tubs" was fun to say....I still do actually.

That's why I'll never own a pet going forward. Animals belong in the wild and free to live their lives. Like some children too, pets are great as long as you can hand them back over to their parents/owners.

FYI while dogs were brought into domestication, cats actually chose to domesticate themselves. so it was some species of cat in egypt that chose to live with and alongside humans. its true, i saw it on natural geographic!

oh...also, many type of dogs are reliant on humans for survival. so if you let them "wild and free" they would die.

But that would mean that pet and child adoption are bad things.
