Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Ditch your fixie and get a roadie.

You're a perfect climbing size and would do pretty well in a climbing race.

never thought about road racing before..
did a few "mini" ones with friends for fun, but i just really love the track
i'll give it some thought, but the fact that i just invested in my ftp is keeping me at the velodrome for a bit
hate climbing ;(

One guy rode past me, slowed down, then said, "One less roadie huh? You better watch yourself around here." Thought that was humorous.

Nice. You should look into joining a team. JLVelo has a huge junior track team. There are 15 year old's tearing up the Cat 1 and 2 riders.

inquire about their junior development team and express interest. if you haven't done the track classes yet, do that first. if you see some jlvelo people out there ask them personally.

Day 3, Salton Sea, close to 200 miles fixed, to a party in the desert.
Yes, my pants are completely ripped.
Yes, that is a bottle of cough syrup in my hand.
Yes, I did say I would never post a picture of myself here until I found a picture of those pants.
