Keep your bike in your room?

Im sure there has to be a few others out there who are like me. I own 2 bikes, a substantially modified Moto 700HT and my 3 day old Dawes SST AL (BD equipped, i know). Anyhow, anybody else have their new bike spend its first few night in your room with you? I feel like a child with a new birthday present/toy, but i feel so much better just looking at it every time i turn my head. Anybody else temporarily or permanently keep their new/old bikes in their bedroom?

oh, and its in this forum b/c the new SST is a SS/FG (current SS), and my first road bike. Im having a blast on it with just a few cockpit mods for me.

heres a pic; b/c some people dont read threads w/o them... its posted a few other places anyhow
edit: changed to an actual picture of it in my bedroom

I have an unfinished build in my bedroom. I do believe it will be stored there after it's done. My beater bike is in the hall, and my GTs are parked in the dining area.

There is evidence that has been photo confirmed that some have actually slept with their bike in a bed ? So putting your bike in a bedroom isn't nearly as strange as it sounds ?

It's somewhere in this thread:

me, my room mates, my room mates boyfriend and my girlfriends bike all currently reside in the kitchen/entryway to my apartment. but mine hangs from a hoist above the bathroom door. I need to invest in 3 more hoists and I might actually be able to get the the living room without stubbing my toe on a tire or getting grease on my pantleg.

I occasionally keep one of my bikes in my room. For a while I had 4 wheels and 6 tires hanging around. When I move to a new apartment I'll probably hang my bikes from the bedroom ceiling

My room is too small and cluttered. There's a little corner in our living room where my bike, spare parts, and rollers all reside peacefully

I keep mine in my room. Currently I live with my mother, we're fairly sure the people that live across the street from us are drug dealers, and she has a bad tendency to not lock the garage (really it's more of an outside storage shed than an actual garage).

Beside that, I wouldn't like to have to go outside, walk around the entire house, open the garage and have to dig the thing out when I can just carry it out of my room :]

yes, my room and my living room.
I have 4 bikes, and one i left outside since it felt cramped. first night i did, my rear wheel was stolen (didn't think anyone wanted an old sturmey 3sp wheel, it was pretty worthless).

roadbike is Ti with sram red, no way that's going outside. 29er is pretty basic, but that's staying inside since people seem to steal just to steal, same with my trek 460 townie. peloton now has too much flashy stuff to stay outside.

I have 2 bikes crammed into my small bedroom. I just moved and there isn't space for them in the living room without crowding it up. Plus my roommate also has two bikes. I'll post a picture in the near future of my current setup.

I have a place in the entrance-way that I can stash the bike.

There is pretty much no crime around here anyway. I accidentally left it unlocked outside last night, nothing happened.

I have a studio and keep both my bikes hanging up in the single room. I'm about to move in with 3 friends, who all have bikes, and I'm not sure what our situation is going to be. I'm going to get down to one bike I think (current build) and maybe keep it in my room. I don't have many things, so I should have room for it. I'm more concerned with the mess, I have a feeling it is going to be a wet and muddy year.

I keep two bikes near my front door, one behind the couch, and one in a spare bedroom. My bike repair stand is in the kitchen, and I have bike parts all over the house.

Between the wife and I, there are 5 complete bikes and two projects in the works. At the moment, three bikes and one project are at home in the spare room (which doubles as my lady's office) and the rest are over at the Bikeage space along with the majority of my tools.

i finally dug up this pic. My crap attempt at ghetto panoramic photo of my room. In this picture, 4 bikes and 2 frames:

There's basically no where in my room where u won't run into a bicycle. Need to really invest in some ceiling hoists..
