Anyone have experience w/these Origin-8 Chainrings?

Came across these awhile back, but haven't found any reviews or mention of them. They come in black and silver in 42t-50t. I like the classic Campy style and the $30 pricetag. I don't expect too much from a cheap chainring, but can't help wondering just how round/strong they are/aren't? Anyone tried one before?

Doesn't matter how round it is really, your chain shouldn't be tight enough to tell.

scrod has one I was reading...

Yeah, they aren't too round but it's what I've been using the hole time I've had my bike. Not that specific ring but an Origin 8 one. Strength has never been as issue.

Is it 144 or 130bcd? It says "Beck-130" implying 130 bcd but moonraker is using 144bcd ird's.

They make another version called the "classic" that is 144bcd. This one is 130bcd.

Yeah, I'm using the classic 144bcd. I want to grab one of the silver beck-130's for my townie's eighthinch cranks. It's a fine chainring, its not as round as the andel/all-city chainrings I was running on my previous crankset but its the look I wanted. I had to turn it around backwards because the chainring holes on the back of my cranks are recessed and the front of the chainring is as well but that was the only issue I had. If thats the style you want I say grab them, they aren't egg shaped or anything haha. Plus like you said, the price is great. I say go for it.

I'm gonna go for a black chainring, but still debating either 47t or 48t. Cheapest I've seen is ~$30 shipped on Amazon. Have any of you seen it for cheaper somewhere else?

I have one....got it from my LBS for $35. As has been said not to round but not so bad that you can't get it nearly perfect with some work....no strength issues, I'm running it on a set of new 1/8th inch which was a lot easier to get rid of the tight spot than my old FSA Vero's

Got it on a few days ago. I'm on the fence though...it looks better in a 144bcd, or 130bcd with 42t like the stock photos above. I still prefer it to the Messenger chainring I was running previously. It was ano gold, but didn't match the wheels lol.

And hey, by coincidence, it matches my Eighthinch cog that no one will ever see.
