benefits of cages?
i have cages on my kilo tt and ive been practicing back circles. they are such a hassle so i want to know what the benifits of them are and if there are certain tricks that you can only do with them. cause if not i was thinking of removing them

They are used for foot retention. The main purpose is to allow you to pull up on the pedal during the upstroke making you much more efficient.

They keep your feet on the pedals. When you're doing 30mph brakeless and your crank arms are spinning faster than an egg beater, it's a good enough reason to use them for me.

You need them for things like riding forward,straight and circles.Also ,no foot retention=no mad skidz.Try riding the bottoms for tricks.
