Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I hate gum.

I hate gum. It's one thing to step on that stuff and get it stuck on your shoes. But its another thing to run it over on a ride and realize that the gum (that someone spat out) has become silly string that covered up not just your tire but also your rim, spokes, hub, and chain.

Try Nitro Moors or some strong solvent. For the spokes ans rims you can sand it off after it solidifies

My lady ran over some once while I was behind her and it trailed like 20 feet until it got me. And it was everywhere.

I hate when people spit gum out on sidewalks or streets. If you're going to spit it out, atleast spit it in the grass, or bushes, or somewhere that no one will step or ride through.

I hate it especially when people spit it out in the grass. Bushes are alright, but honestly does is it really that hard to wait for the next trashcan? I couldn't bare to spit out my gum because I know that whenever I step in the gunk, it's an instant downer when you realize you've messed up your shoe. Luckily I haven't run over any in my travel, but of course knowing my luck just saying that has sealed my fate on the next ride.

I really do not like riding through gum, but I would rather run through it with my tires than get hit by someone throwing their gum out of a taxi window(not sure if they saw me, maybe they did). that sucked, poor shirt.

I've heard tourists in Singapore get fined a crazy amount of money if they chew gum because it's illegal in public or something ridiculous like that.
Ridiculously smart.

It is illegal to chew or sell gum in Singapore.

I like to chew them but I don't like when I step or ride over one.

I rolled through dog excrement yesterday. It was flung up on my shorts and backpack. Safe to say, odd looks in the grocery store.

Would have preferred bubble gum.

as OCD as it seems, it's just all just their way to keep the city clean. The city is really unbelievably clean, should be nice to ride in?

gum under a table + crossing your legs = gum on your knee which leads to gum behind your other knee when crossing your legs the other way
