Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

so is there any way to tell if this is one of the 400+ BRIDGESTONE frames?

ok i was told there are cheap low end bikes with the BRIDGESTONE labeling but i also see some for 400-500 bones..anyone got an idea on this one.

well since i'm a magician i can easily look at that crappy picture and deduce that it's from 1684 and was created by a lute maker for the king of rome. they just put the bridgestone label on it because they wanted to defeat the goths.

I like how the thing that interested me most in thread this is due to the fact I graduated with a History Degree and I see flaws

18 speed would make it a 6x3, the levers on there are suicide levers, which you find on lower end frames. Not that this can't be changed out from the original configuration.

The really higher end and sought after bikes/frames are the RB-1 and RB-2.
that bike you see there is not worth $300, more like $50~100. It cost $250 NEW.

use search: Bridgestone 400?

It's a Bike Boom bike. It cost less when it was made than it does now. It is not this. This is a Bridgestone NJS frame. There are many very big differences.

*makes Jedi-like hand motion* This is not the frame you are looking for.

Suicide levers, reflectors, and that dag nasty lookin' crank are all key indicators.
We'll save the tightness of the geometry 'til next time.

Go Fish, the journey is half the fun.

Here is my 1988 RB-2. It is now rocking some sweet gp 4000s tires though.

That bike is a low end pre Grant Peterson bike that is worth about $50. It would be a good candidate for conversion at that price. You could have found all this information by use of this neat new trick called Google. You go to Google.com and type in the words "bridgestone 400". Wa la!
